Spend summer days learning about nature and having fun in our unique day camps at Lindsay Wildlife Experience! Engage in a blend of indoor and outdoor adventures, encompassing nature hikes, music, games, crafts, and captivating encounters with live animal ambassadors throughout our weekly camp programs.

At Camp San Jose, campers will participate in an unforgettable summer day camp experience combining summer camp traditions with enrichment and educational activities. Campers play crazy fun games, sports, create cool arts and crafts projects, sing funny songs, and embark on a weekly field trip. Activities incorporate educational features disguised in fun and entertaining activities and projects. Price includes a low leader to child ratio of 1:10, field trips, a Camp San Jose shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning and much more!

Whether this is your first time at a theater summer camp or you’re returning for another awesome summer with us, our camps have something for everyone. During these 2-week sessions, campers study Shakespeare’s theater in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Professional theater practitioners lead interactive classes in Shakespeare’s poetry, clowning traditions, and stage combat. The camp culminates in an abridged Shakespeare play for family and friends on the final day. Camp sessions are weekdays from 9am to 3pm, and a typical camp day begins with a half hour of warmups followed by breaking up into smaller groups to rotate between three one-hour classes with a half-hour lunch break. The afternoon concludes with a two-hour rehearsal for the final performance. Aftercare is available until 5:30pm at the San Francisco campsite, and until 5pm at the Santa Clara campsite, and is included in the price of enrollment, as are all scripts, costumes, and supplies.

Pre-req: Jr Ballet 2/3 at Ayana Ballet School or by audition. Req'd: to participate in this program, students ages 8-11 should be dancing at least 2 days a week for the last 2 years to be placed in a class level with their peers. Dancers will improve technique and strength through barre exercises, barre, center, and allegro work. They will also improve their dance fluency through classical variations, character dance, contemporary dance, and new choreography.

We make science camps fun! YSI summer camp culture is infused with games that foster social skills and playful science camp activities that bring YSI summer camp spirit to life! Our summer science camps incorporate hiking, games, and arts & crafts and feature special programs with our live animal ambassadors. Most importantly, our exceptional summer camp staff make our summer camps unique. We carefully screen and interview to get high-quality summer camp staff. Our team includes passionate college students, classroom teachers, and full-time YSI educators. Our summer camp staff receive training to ensure child safety, content knowledge, and customer service. Our staff are trained in CPR and first aid. Staff are also trained on state and county protocols for COVID- 19. The COVID-19 vaccination is required for all YSI Camp Staff. Our summer camp group sizes maintain a ratio of 1:7 for most camps, while fishing and biking camps maintain a 1:5 ratio, and Extended Day Camp maintains a 1:10 ratio.
