Join SJPL in exploring the lives of some of the first Black students at San Jose State University (SJSU) via a special artistic photo exhibit at the Almaden Library. Explore the history and stories of the first 40-years of Black students at SJSU, including information from the university's Special Collections & Archives research documenting Black experiences in SJSU history -- each exhibit piece has a special story to tell.

Celebrate the 100th Year Commemoration of Black History Month with San Jose Public Library! Explore the 2026 Art of the African Diaspora Exhibit in the DiNapoli Gallery, located on the second floor of the King Library from Sunday, January 11 - Sunday, February 22, 2026. An Artist Reception complete with a meet and greet, panel interview and light refreshments will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2 – 3:30 pm in Room 225 (Second Floor.)
