Located in the heart of downtown San Jose, The Tech Interactive is a world-class nonprofit science and technology center that’s perfect for a fun, educational day out with or without kids. One of the newest and most exciting experiences is Dream Garden, an immersive AI-powered exhibit where creativity meets technology. In this surreal and colorful space, visitors can use movement and imagination to shape a dream-like ecosystem—becoming part of a world where trees grow with your gestures and curious creatures respond to your movements. It’s playful, inclusive, and endlessly fascinating for children and adults alike.

Beyond Dream Garden, families can explore a variety of themed exhibits:

• Solve for Earth lets you explore sustainable living and how everyday choices impact the planet.
• BioDesign Studio introduces kids to the intersection of biology and design, with hands-on stations to build, test, and explore.
• Tech for Global Good features real stories of global innovators using technology to solve major challenges—from clean water access to education.

Don’t miss the IMAX Dome Theater, the largest on the West Coast, featuring the world’s first dome laser projector. Here, visitors can journey through deep space, dive beneath the ocean, or discover prehistoric worlds in jaw-dropping detail. Educational films change regularly and are included with admission.

When it’s time for a break, the on-site Tech Cafe serves breakfast and lunch with family-friendly options to keep everyone fueled up for more exploring.

The Tech Interactive is open Tuesday through Sunday, with extended hours during school breaks and holidays. Admission includes access to all exhibits and one IMAX educational film.
