Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Camp Ocean Pines is a summer camp, retreat center, and outdoor education facility on the central coast of California, in Cambria. We accept everyone for who they are and help them grow into the human they want to be, with nature-based camp programs for youth, adults, and families!

Here at Camp Ocean Pines, we accept every kid for who they are and help them grow into the people they want to be. We focus on connecting with new and old friends alike, exploring our natural world, and helping young people grow into compassionate and thoughtful community members. We offer 6, and 13-day sessions all throughout the summer for kids 7 - 17.

Located on the Central Coast of California, we are halfway between LA and the Bay Area. Camp Ocean Pines is nestled in a Monterey Pine forest overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Our summers are pleasant with coastal fog, California sunshine, and a nice ocean breeze.

Our camp is small and we like it that way! With an 81 kid maximum, with a 1 to 4 staff to camper ratio. The best part? Everyone knows each other and welcomes everyone into our camp family! Campers will have a cabin of 7-8 other similar-aged kids with two counselors, who know every little detail of each camper.

During the day, campers have complete ownership over their schedule and choose their activities. We offer over 50 programs like archery, tie-dye and animal meet and greets, and more! Campers also have the opportunity to leave site and join staff on adventures such as kayaking or chilling at the beach. We end our days together as a camp playing a larger than life camp game, such as Capture the Flag-complete with themes and characters! They will go to sleep that night already dreaming of what the next day brings.

Families have the opportunity to drop their camper off at camp and help them move-in, or send their camper on the shuttle bus with our staff from LA or the Bay Area. The whole family gets the opportunity to check out our camp and meet our staff. Throughout the week, camp uploads photos to share with families about all the fun we are having. Families are welcome to email their campers, though we ask campers and staff to be tech-free. We believe that everyone benefits from taking a break from their devices and face time with friends. Once your camper joins us for a session, we know they will agree-there is no place like Camp Ocean Pines!
