Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s Camp has put kids in charge–allowing campers to choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, stop-motion animation, coding & gaming, sports & recreation, maker crafts, water play, baking, and more. As children are empowered to make their own choices at camp, they discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity–learning to course correct and trust themselves as they go. Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time–no weekly reservations required. Or, buy a Summer Pass, which covers the whole season. Either way, any unused Passes are automatically refunded at summer’s end. Ages: 4–12 | Lunch, snacks & all hours (8am–6pm) included.

Campers learn to create games and advanced applications using the Scratch programming language. They’ll integrate functions, custom code blocks, and physical components into their projects while also gaining other important skills like flowcharting, and principles of electrical engineering. Campers will learn to develop games similar to Flappy Birds, Pac-Man, and other platformer games.

Battle of the Bots introduces campers to programming, sensors, gears, and mechanics in a fun, competitive way! They’ll team up to build robots and compete in challenges like sumo wrestling, tug-of-war, and head-to-head combat. By the end of the week, they’ll test their skills to see who can build the best battle bot—this camp is a prerequisite for the VEX IQ Robotics Competition Camp.

Whether it’s weeklong sessions during summertime and school breaks, or single-day options during holiday closures, your kids will find adventure, friends, and endless fun at camp. Happy Hollow offers full-day camps throughout the summer for young animal enthusiasts ages 5 to 13. Every camp at Happy Hollow is uniquely themed to provide your child with fun, hands-on learning experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Each week of camp follows a different theme and incorporates a variety of age-appropriate activities and adventures. Come play at the zoo during summer break. These daily drop-off camps are filled with educational activities, live animal encounters, zoo tours & nature play.

Throughout all of our programs, campers work with their instructors and fellow actors to explore all aspects of the dramatic arts. Our award-winning “Theatre in the Park” programs offer opportunities for young thespians to create props, costumes, and sets for an outdoor performance on the final day of camp. Campers enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities as they learn how to create interesting and exciting characters, project and enunciate, and put on a show! Campers can also find opportunities to learn about specific types of storytelling through performance, from improvisation to puppetry to music. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
