Serenade to Music - Symphony San Jose
Symphony San Jose Chorale will transport you to Buenos Aires with the wonderful "Misa a Buenos Aires" by Argentine composer Martín Palmeri. Scored for a chorale, string ensemble, piano, and featuring the bandoneon, this acclaimed piece injects tango rhythms and Latin American groove into the latin mass. Expect a unique experience full of passion and intense emotions!
Also on the program is "The Secret of the Sea" by Jake Runestad, which takes listeners on a dramatic nautical voyage of excitement and emotion. “This journey of the human spirit,” the composer writes, “questions the meaning of existence while evoking the sights and sounds of the sea.” With lyrics drawn from Whitman, Longfellow and Inuit mythology, it is a beautiful and evocative piece.
