Marine Science Academy

This 10-week:once-a-week program explores Pacific Coast and San Francisco Bay marine habitats and includes three trips aboard our research vessel in South San Francisco Bay. Academy participants will have an in depth investigation of local marine ecosystems and learn how similar animals from different habitats have unique adaptations to help them survive.

Over the course of this extensive and immersive program, students focus on the San Francisco Bay habitats, local wetlands, the Pacific Coast and oceanic habitats, explore taxonomy, and form and function.​

Who: Grades 2-5th (Ages 7-11) 

When: Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays 
starting Sep. 14 to Nov. 16

Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm (Drop off  8:30-9:00am, Pick-up 3:00-3:30pm) 

Cost: $1200/learner
