Create, code, and share your own arcade-style games using Microsoft MakeCode — a colorful, beginner-friendly block-based programming platform that makes learning to code fun and accessible.
Students will learn how games are designed while building their own interactive projects, including:
* Star Collector – Race through space, collect stars, and learn how to control a player character through code.
* Cosmic Crashers – Navigate a space adventure while adding movement, challenges, and game mechanics.
* Can’t Catch Me! – Create an action-packed game where players dodge obstacles and test their reflexes.
* Tap Attack – Build a fast-paced reaction game using events and player input.
* Bubble Poppers – Design a fun arcade challenge with sprites, movement, and scoring.
Each project introduces new programming concepts such as events, loops, variables, and sprite movement while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and experimentation. Students customize their games, test their ideas, and create playable projects they can share with friends and family.
No previous coding experience is required. Whether students are new to programming or already enjoy creating with technology, Code For Fun instructors provide a supportive environment where everyone can build, explore, and have fun.
