Bird Scavenger Hunt

Join the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory for a bird scavenger hunt for the Bay Area Science Festival! From April 21 to 30, get outside and observe birds around you! We’ll challenge you to find certain birds and observe their behavior. All you need to do is download the scavenger hunt, find as many of the birds as you can between April 21-30, and answer as many questions as you can! You can print the file below, or you can just write down your answers and the date you saw each bird on a paper or mobile device. This event is great for the whole family and can be done anywhere - outside your window, in your backyard, your neighborhood, or a local park or beach!
By participating, you have chances to win an SFBBO shirt! Each method below counts as one entry to receive a shirt:
1) Register for the event here
2) Share observations with us on social media by tagging us on Twitter or Instagram (@sfbbo) & mention that it’s for the BASF scavenger hunt
3) Submit your scavenger hunt to us by May 1st (it's okay if you didn't find all the birds!)
4) Attend our live virtual event on Thursday, April 28th at 5pm-6pm Pacific! During this event, you can share what you've found so far and ask us questions. We'll also share some resources to help you with your scavenger hunt! The Zoom link will be sent in the confirmation email.
