Designed for ACDS middle school students, this transformative summer program prepares aspiring leaders by developing essential skills in teamwork, communication, and responsibility, while embracing Almaden Country Day School's core values of childhood, balance, learning, and belonging. Through hands-on activities, leadership workshops, and mentorship from experienced instructors, participants will learn how to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. This program also includes First Aid and CPR training, providing critical certifications that are invaluable for future roles as camp counselors, babysitters, or child care volunteers. These life-saving skills, combined with training in Positive Discipline principles, equip students to foster empathy, self-awareness, and problem-solving in real-world situations. The camp culminates in a practicum, where participants put their skills into action within our camp system, gaining practical experience in leadership and childcare. Join us to build confidence, compassion, and the skills that will make you a trusted leader and role model for years to come!
