Trail Crew - Alum Rock Park

Love to hike? Want to learn more about trail and restoration work? Then come join us every second Saturday with the Alum Rock Trail Crew!
Volunteers will meet in the Youth Science Institute parking lot, at the farthest end of the park. Follow the yellow "Volunteer Event" signs and register at the lime green volunteer truck and trailer. Trail crew starts PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM. Give yourself sufficient time to reach the destination. It is a winding 2 mile road from the main gate to the end of the park.
No experience is necessary! All tools and instruction will be provided. Please bring a filled water bottle, snacks, and wear closed toe shoes and long pants.
Dress for the weather! The event will be held, rain or shine!

NEW Requirements!
The City of San Jose is no longer requiring volunteers to provide proof of vaccination/booster shots in order to volunteer at City-sponsored events.
On the day of the event, staff will conduct a quick Health Survey. Masks are not required but are strongly recommended.
