Foster City Halloween Festival: A Walk-Through Experience

6-Feet-Trick-Or-Treat
Because of the uncertainty around traditional trick or treating, we would like to provide the children in our community a trick or treat experience! Members of different community organizations and businesses will spread out in the Leo Ryan Park meadow running trick or treat stations. All candy distributed will be pre-packaged, sealed bags candy, which will be opened as the festival begins.
Costume Contest
Our annual costume contest returns! All costume contest entrants will take a picture in front of our photo booth backdrop (all attendees are welcome to take pictures in front of the backdrop too!). Because our festival will have time slots which have a limited number of spots in each, the winners of the costume contest will be highlighted on Foster City Recreation's social media pages. Prizes for costume contest winners will be delivered to your house if you are a Foster City resident (we will arrange a prize pickup time for non-residents winners). Registration for the costume contest will take place on site when you arrive!
Spooky Boo Trail
Follow our spooky trail to the hilltop of the meadow where a gallery of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns await!
Pumpkin Decorating or Carving Contest
Foster City Recreation will be hosting Pumpkin decorating contests. Those who enter the contest will have their pumpkins displayed on the hilltop, and all attendees will be given the chance to vote for their favorites. Contests spots are limited, and will require pre-registration. To enter, please register HERE. Registrants can register for the decorating (painting, coloring, etc) contest, or can register for the pumpkin carving contest. We will arrange a time for registrants to pickup their pumpkins, as well as a time to be dropped off prior to the festival. Winning pumpkins will be highlighted on our Recreation social media pages, and prizes will be delivered to your house if you are a Foster City resident (we will arrange a prize pickup time for non-resident winners). NOTE: registration for the Pumpkin Contests are separate from the event registration. To participate and attend the festival, attendees must register for both.
Mystery Hunt
A mystery scene has been built for attendees to enjoy. This scene will have hidden monsters, ghosts and various other elements which attendees will have to hunt for. A checklist of hidden elements will be provided, and those who are able to find everything on the checklist will be entered into a raffle for some awesome prizes!
